solitary musings

Solitary musings will be a short audio-story of a Eurasian (Anglo-Thai) Londoner in his mid- late twenties. It aims to combine sound and music, acoustic and electronic, to tell a collection of jotted down musings through both spoken word and song.
Through his isolation and limited only to the instruments and sounds that can be created in his home, his words will be set to an accompaniment of his dual-heritage inspired soundscapes and tunes to take you with him on his exploration of the desire to find purpose and deeper understanding of his self- conflicting identity.
Writings on his (sometimes frustrated) experiences identifying as a young mixed-race brit, as someone who twice ordained as a Theravada Buddhist monk but who cannot converse in their mother tongue – a person who cannot relate. Solitary musings aims to use our internationally shared experience of solitude as an opportunity to translate his anxieties into sound and use that process as a means to reflect and question whether his feelings are truly unrelatable.
